Тема: Ultra-strong light-matter coupling in superconductor/(anti)ferromagnet and superconductor/ferroelectric nanostructures.
Аннотация: The talk discusses the emergence of ultra-strong light-matter coupling in superconductor-based hybrid nanostructures, demonstrating how superconducting layers fundamentally enhance and control interactions between collective excitations and confined photons. We first show that in S/F/I/F/S heterostructures, Meissner currents mediate an ultra-strong magnon-magnon coupling between spatially separated ferromagnets, with an anisotropic strength exceeding conventional dipolar interactions by orders of magnitude. Extending this platform to antiferromagnets (S/AF/S), we predict ultra-strong magnon-photon coupling at terahertz frequencies, achieving coupling constants exceeding 100 GHz and high cooperativity, with external magnetic field providing tunable coupling selectivity between the two antiferromagnetic modes. Finally, we introduce a novel ferroelectric analogue—the ferron-polariton—in S/FE/S structures, where the electric dipole coupling between ferroelectric excitations (ferrons) and Swihart photons produces a giant terahertz spectral gap, orders of magnitude larger than in magnetic systems, reflecting the superior strength of electric dipole interactions. Collectively, these results establish superconductor-based heterostructures as a versatile and powerful platform for extreme light-matter interactions, enabling tunable, low-loss, and high-frequency hybrid quasiparticles for quantum magnonics, ferronics, and signal processing.
